Erin L. Hsu, PhD

Research Associate Professor, Orthopaedic Surgery, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University

Erin received her PhD in Molecular Toxicology at UCLA under Dr. Oliver Hankinson, where she studied the role of the Aryl hydrocarbon receptor in both carcinogenesis and phytochemical-based chemoprevention. After leaving UCLA, Erin joined the laboratory of Dr. Christopher Bradfield in the University of Wisconsin McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research for post-doctoral training. She joined the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwestern as faculty in 2008, where she and Wellington made the decision to merge their research interests within the arenas of bone toxicology and regenerative medicine. Erin and Wellington became resident faculty members of the Simpson Querrey Institute in 2016, where Erin also serves as Assistant Director.
